Fireworks and Pets Don’t Mix
Fireworks displays are immense fun for all young and old, and everybody anxiously look out for the season for it so they could enjoy the shows during the season. There are fireworks for weddings and there are fireworks for events that people love to celebrate with aplomb. Whatever would be the reason, a salve of fireworks adds a special feel to the celebrations.
How To Have Fun With Fireworks When You Have Pets
There is no secret that most of the pets shun firecrackers, both for the fact that it is fire and for the sound they emanate. Particularly dogs become highly distressed when the season for fireworks commences. Fortunately, there are measures with which you could ensure that your pet’s inconvenience is reduced to the minimum possible level. Check out the following:
DAP diffuser, you need to have one installed and functional round the clock about 2-3 weeks before the season or your celebration starts. This would be pacifying the dog and make it more confident and relaxed when faced with the actual fireworks displays.
What about Outside Animals
When fireworks for weddings and other such major events are planned, ensure that they are done in such places where they do not disturb the animals that live in their natural habitat. For example, if the wedding or celebration takes place in a park, which is nowadays a hot favorite, ensure that the fireworks do not harm the birds and others animals that may live in the park, such as squirrels.
If the fireworks displays are done on a farm, ensure that the celebration is as far as possible from the animals’ shed. Very often the impact of the fireworks would make hens stop giving eggs or cows stop giving milk for sometime if they become stressed by it.
Alternatives to Protect Your Pets
In case it is possible try to keep the fireworks displays as far away from where your pet is as possible – this could mean you would send the pet for a few days to a friend or relative. You could ask a shelter home to take care of it for a couple of days or you could have closed in a room where the sound would be least penetrating.
Whatever type of fireworks – whether they are fireworks for weddings or for any other event, you could take all precautions to ensure that your pet is safe and protected from stress as much as possible. Only then you could really enjoy the wonderful exhibition of the fireworks displays without any qualms.
